A temporary Khadi shop will be set up on the premises of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Mysuru on May 14 and 15, 2026. This initiative aims to provide government employees with a convenient opportunity to purchase Khadi products.
According to a press note from District Khadi Gramodyog Industries Officer Sharat Chandra, the shop will operate during office hours. Government employees are encouraged to make use of this two-day event to support Khadi and village industries.
The temporary shop is part of ongoing efforts to promote Khadi as a sustainable and traditional fabric. It offers a range of products including clothing, textiles, and handmade items.
This event is expected to attract many employees from the district administration and nearby offices. The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has been organizing such temporary outlets across the state to increase accessibility and awareness.
Interested buyers can visit the DC office premises on the specified dates to explore and purchase authentic Khadi products. The initiative also aligns with the government's push for self-reliance and support for local artisans.
