A shocking incident has come to light in Mirzapur district, where the body of a 15-year-old girl was discovered in a pool of blood approximately 200 meters from her residence on Sunday morning. The incident occurred in a village under the jurisdiction of the Padri police station.
Arrest Made in Connection with the Murder
Mirzapur Superintendent of Police (SP) Aparna Rajat Kaushik confirmed the arrest of the girl's boyfriend, identified as Sajan alias Rajan (18), in connection with the murder. Police teams are actively searching for his accomplice, Ajay Bind, who is still at large.
Details of the Crime
According to police statements, Sajan confessed to being in a long-term relationship with the victim. On Saturday night, the girl agreed to meet him at a secluded location. Sajan arrived with his friend Ajay Bind and demanded that she engage in physical relations with both of them. When she refused, the two men allegedly strangled her with a stole and then struck her with a heavy stone, causing her death.
The blood-stained stone was found near the body on Sunday morning, as reported by the SP. She assured that the teams deployed to apprehend Bind would arrest him soon.
Family's Account and Legal Action
The victim's mother informed the police that on Saturday night, the girl went to sleep after dinner. However, when the family woke up in the morning, she was missing from her bed. A search by family members and villagers led to the discovery of her body near a drain, about 200 meters from the house. The family has filed a named First Information Report (FIR) against Sajan in connection with the incident.
