The ongoing controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh's departure from 'Don 3' has sparked widespread discussion in Bollywood. Now, actress Kangana Ranaut has opened up about her own similar experiences, reflecting on the numerous bans and legal challenges she has faced throughout her career.
Kangana's Support for Ranveer
Earlier, at the trailer launch of 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata', Kangana expressed support for Ranveer Singh. She remarked, "See, you are asking me, I've been banned by everybody. I would like to say that when your status increases, your enemies also increase. So, it's not possible that your status increases and your enemies don't increase. Ranveer Singh should think about his status. He has so many enemies."
Her Own Journey of Bans and Legal Battles
In a recent interview with Fever FM, Kangana elaborated on her own experiences. "I was the first one to be banned. They put cases on me. They tried to frame me legally. They tried to put me in jail," she said. The actress further discussed the numerous legal battles she had to navigate. "At one point, I had so many cases on me that my lawyer was attending to all these dates. It was hearing after hearing. And after that, I was banned by the media. It was a big ban by the media."
Despite the seriousness of those experiences, Kangana appeared unfazed and even joked about them. "I'm a veteran when it comes to this, I've been banned so many times over the years. So even now, all of this feels like child's play to me," she added.
Obstacles Are Part of a Long Career
At the trailer launch event, Kangana also emphasized that hurdles are inevitable in any long-lasting career and should not be viewed as permanent setbacks. "When you do well, there are obstacles that come in the way. It can't always be a smooth walk. It's happened to me as well so many times, but my career is going fine despite them. It doesn't matter. Everything is going to be fine eventually," she said.
The 'Don 3' Controversy
The dispute involving Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar over 'Don 3' has become one of Bollywood's most closely watched controversies. According to several reports, Ranveer exited the project due to creative differences with the filmmakers. Other reports claimed that the actor was dissatisfied with repeated production delays and the absence of a finalized script.
What began as speculation over a casting change eventually escalated into a legal dispute. Reports suggested that Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment sought Rs 45 crore in compensation, while FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor before later revoking it.
Kangana's candid remarks shed light on the challenges faced by actors in the industry, drawing parallels between her own journey and the current situation involving Ranveer Singh.
