Stefon Diggs, the former New England Patriots star, and Cardi B may have sparked reunion rumors, but his legal battle with his ex-private chef, Jamila Adams, has taken a new turn. Adams has already accused Diggs of having a sexual relationship with her before employing her, and the situation has escalated further.
New Allegations in Court
According to TMZ, Jamila Adams appeared in a Massachusetts courtroom, alleging that Diggs may have had an inappropriate relationship with another staff member. Adams claimed that while her relationship with Diggs was sexual, things remained cordial when he hired her last year. However, the dynamic turned toxic when a friend of his child's mother accused Adams of spreading information about Diggs sleeping with a woman on his staff named Lindsay.
Adams stated she does not know for certain if Diggs and Lindsay were actually in a relationship, but she noted that Diggs pays Lindsay's rent. Adams alleged that this altercation led to a physical attack by Diggs, causing their relationship to suffer. Diggs and his legal team have pleaded not guilty to these allegations.
Ex-Chef Refuses to Comment on $5.5 Million Claim
While Adams spoke openly about the alleged sexual relationship, she refused to comment on the $5.5 million she is seeking in the lawsuit. As per NBC Sports, when asked about the claim, Adams replied, "I can't speak on that," and at other points told jurors, "I don't understand the question" and "I don't know how to answer the question."
Diggs continues to maintain his innocence in the lawsuit. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, popular Grammy winner Cardi B, has stayed distant from the controversy.
