Kushal Tandon is poised for a major transformation in his professional journey as he ventures further into the OTT space. The actor, most recently seen in the television series Barsatein: Mausam Pyaar Ka, has now been signed exclusively by Ekta Kapoor's talent management agency, Balaji Telefilms and Motion Pictures. Following this development, he has also been confirmed to lead two upcoming OTT projects that will stream on prominent platforms.
Exclusive Signing Confirmed
While Kushal remained unavailable for comment, Mohammed Nagaman Lateef, Talent Head at Balaji Telefilms and Motion Pictures, confirmed the news. Speaking to us, Mohammed said, “Yes, Kushal Tandon has been signed exclusively with Balaji Telefilms and Motion Pictures. He is talented, energetic, a thorough professional and a delight to work with. What sets him apart from many of his contemporaries is that he has always chosen his projects thoughtfully and with care.”
Ekta Kapoor's Personal Involvement
Mohammed further highlighted Ekta Kapoor's active role in nurturing talent and shaping careers. He added, “Ekta Kapoor is very particular when it comes to talent. She understands who fits which project and has a strong sense of casting. One of her strengths is that she gets deeply involved in every aspect and closely follows how an artist’s career is progressing. In Kushal’s case, she is personally looking into his journey and ensuring that he is placed in the right projects and moves in the right direction.”
Upcoming OTT Projects
Sharing details about the actor’s upcoming slate, Mohammed revealed, “Kushal will be doing two OTT projects with us for major platforms. One is expected to begin in October, while the other is scheduled for December. He fits both the characters very well.”
Kushal is not entirely new to the digital space, having previously featured in Hum – I’m Because of Us and Bebaakee. However, these new projects appear to mark a bigger push into OTT and represent an important phase in his career.
