Jeremy Clarkson, the acclaimed TV presenter best known for hosting 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?', shared a celebratory video after the Hawkstone Farmers Choir secured their place in the finals of 'Britain's Got Talent'. The 66-year-old was joined by his farm partner, Kaleb Cooper, as they cheered with the crowd and punched the air in triumph.
Jeremy Clarkson Celebrates Choir's Victory
The duo filmed the video at Farm Fest in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, where the choir's performance was streamed live, as reported by The Irish Sun. 'We just can't believe it. Thank you all so much. Thank you for believing in us,' the official account of the reality show contestants wrote in the comments of the video. The 34-strong group, composed of farmers from across the UK, performed 'Pompeii' by Bastille. They received a golden buzzer and a standing ovation from judges Amanda Holden and KSI.
Reactions from the 'Britain's Got Talent' Judges
Amanda Holden remarked, 'Farming touches every single person in this country,' according to the Farmer's Guardian. KSI added, 'The whole of the UK knows how important each and every one of you is. That was one of the best choir acts I have ever heard in my life.' Simon Cowell also praised the group, saying, 'I actually really liked the song. I love what you stand for. It might be a bit annoying to see Jeremy Clarkson's smug face is the only downside. Well done.'
About Hawkstone Farmers Choir
The Hawkstone Farmers Choir originated as part of an advertising campaign for Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone beer, where the group initially sang. Comprising dedicated farmers, they decided to form a proper choir because the members enjoyed it so much. Following a public vote, they have now become one of the finalists on Britain's popular show.
