A tragic incident has been reported from Kalaburagi, where an 18-year-old woman who appeared for the NEET examination this year died by suicide. The deceased has been identified as Bhagyashree Rajasekhar, a student who had secured 92% in her II PUC examination. She had taken the NEET exam on May 2, aspiring to pursue a career in medicine.
Incident Details
According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday at her residence in an apartment near Court Circle, Kalaburagi. Bhagyashree was found hanging in her room. No suicide note was discovered at the scene. Her father, Rajasekhar, expressed shock and grief over the incident. He stated that his daughter had high expectations from the NEET exam but was unsure if anxiety over results led to the extreme step. He mentioned that she was very good with the family and that they would not file any complaint against anyone.
Police Investigation
The Station Bazar police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the suicide. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
