Amit Shah to Review India-Pakistan Border Security in Rajasthan

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will begin a two-day visit to Rajasthan on Monday night to review border security and assess anti-drone measures along sectors bordering Pakistan. Shah is expected to chair a high-level meeting with senior BSF officials, intelligence agencies and district administrators, focusing on curbing drone-based smuggling of narcotics, arms and contraband in border districts such as Bikaner and Sri Ganganagar.

Key Highlights of the Visit

During his visit, Shah will stay overnight at the BSF Sector Headquarters in Bikaner before visiting the Sanchu Border Outpost on Tuesday to interact with BSF personnel during a ‘Sainik Sammelan’. He will also inaugurate women’s barracks virtually and participate in a plantation drive.

Focus on Security Upgrades

Officials are expected to discuss laser fencing, surveillance upgrades and improved intelligence coordination in sensitive border areas. The visit underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing border security and countering emerging threats such as drone-based smuggling.
