India has strongly condemned Pakistan for propagating what it termed 'officially sponsored misinformation' at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), particularly regarding the so-called 'Fitna al Hindustan' narrative. The Indian envoy accused Pakistan of using baseless propaganda to divert attention from its internal issues and shift blame onto India.
Pakistan's 'Fitna' Claim Dismissed
India rejected Pakistan's designation of certain groups in Balochistan as 'Fitna al Hindustan', asserting that this is a deliberate attempt to mislead the international community. The Indian representative stated that such claims are unfounded and serve only to deflect responsibility for Pakistan's own problems.
Role of Pakistan's Deep State
The Indian envoy pointed out that Pakistan's military establishment has long fostered hostility with India to maintain its grip on power. By creating an external enemy, the deep state seeks to divert public attention from domestic challenges, including economic instability and political turmoil.
Constitutional Amendment as Evidence
India cited Pakistan's 27th Constitutional Amendment, which created the post of Chief of Defence Forces, as clear evidence of the military's increasing control over the country's affairs. This move, according to India, underscores the institutionalization of military dominance in Pakistan's governance.
Condemnation of Airstrikes in Afghanistan
India also criticized Pakistan for conducting military airstrikes in Afghanistan during the holy month of Ramadan. The Indian envoy described these actions as hypocritical, given Pakistan's frequent calls for peace and dialogue. The strikes reportedly caused civilian casualties, further undermining Pakistan's credibility.
Blame-Shifting Tactic Exposed
India dismissed Pakistan's habit of blaming its neighbors for its own failures as a tired and deceptive tactic. The Indian representative urged the international community to see through these attempts to deceive and recognize Pakistan's internal shortcomings.
