The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) has announced the establishment of a special cell to recover pending property taxes from 493 government establishments, which collectively owe approximately Rs 30 crore. Municipal Commissioner Amod Yedge made the announcement during a review meeting held on Monday evening.

Dedicated Cell for Accelerated Recovery

Yedge stated that the dedicated cell would help accelerate the recovery process through strict and continuous follow-ups with the defaulters. While the civic administration has not yet disclosed the full list of defaulting establishments, officials indicated that it might be made public if dues remain unpaid.

Review of Tax Assessments and Recovery Progress

During the meeting, Yedge reviewed tax assessments, recovery progress under the ongoing campaign, and other outstanding dues. He issued warnings to officials in Zone 9 and Zone 4 over lower collections compared to the previous year. In contrast, Abhiman Bharsakhale (Zone 6) and Sanjay Pardeshi (Zone 10) were felicitated for their strong tax collection performance and maintaining high reporting standards through the official cellphone application.
