The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) has introduced an online portal for students to register for complimentary bus travel when attending government recruitment examinations. This initiative tightens access to a benefit that provides free transport from 48 hours before an exam to 48 hours after it.
Registration Requirements
According to the new rules, candidates must complete their registration at least 36 hours prior to the exam. This measure is designed to streamline verification processes and ease travel for aspirants across Rajasthan.
To register, candidates need to visit the RSRTC website and access the 'Pratiyogi Pariksharthi Panjiyan Portal'. They must enter their examination details and upload their admit card. An OTP-based verification will be conducted to ensure the authenticity of the registration.
Eligibility and Ticket Issuance
Officials have clarified that the free travel facility is exclusively available for competitive examinations. Mere registration on the portal does not guarantee eligibility. The bus conductor will issue a ticket only after verifying the candidate's eligibility based on the admit card.
The roll numbers of registered candidates will be integrated into the master database of the Electronic Ticket Issuing Machine (ETIM) used by conductors. This ensures that conductors have access to updated and registered data for real-time verification at the time of ticket issuance.
Verification Process
When issuing a ticket under the 'Competition Exam' category, the conductor will enter the candidate's roll number from the admit card into the ETIM. The system will automatically cross-check the roll number against the master database. Only valid and registered candidates will receive tickets.
Candidates with invalid or unregistered roll numbers will be treated as ticketless passengers and must pay the full fare to travel.
