The new water tanks will be built across various locations in the city, with capacities ranging from 50,000 to 500,000 liters each. The MC has identified 40 sites for the new tanks, prioritizing areas with acute water scarcity. The construction will be carried out by the state's Public Works Department in coordination with the MC. The first phase, including 15 tanks, is scheduled to be completed by December 2024. The remaining tanks will be built in the second phase, with a target completion by March 2026.
