Indore: The Ratlam Division of Western Railway has announced the cancellation, short-termination, and diversion of several trains between June 9 and June 11 due to Phase-2 yard remodeling work at Laxmibai Nagar station on the Indore–Dewas–Ujjain section. This development was confirmed by Mukesh Kumar, the division's public relations officer.
Train Cancellations on June 11
On June 11, four passenger trains will be completely cancelled. These include train Nos. 69211 and 69213, Ujjain–Indore Passenger, as well as train Nos. 69212 and 69214, Indore–Ujjain Passenger. Commuters relying on these services are advised to make alternative travel arrangements.
Short-Termination and Short-Origination
Eight trains will be short-terminated or short-originated on the same day. Specifically, four DEMU trains operating between Ratlam and Dr Ambedkar Nagar will be short-terminated at Laxmibai Nagar, resulting in partial cancellation between Laxmibai Nagar and Dr Ambedkar Nagar. Passengers traveling on these segments should check for updated schedules.
Diversion of Key Trains
Several trains will be diverted over the three-day period. On June 9, train 20497, Rameswaram–Firozpur Cantt Humsafar Express, will run via Maksi–Ujjain–Fatehabad–Ratlam, bypassing Dewas and Laxmibai Nagar. On June 10, train 21126, Bhind–Ratlam Express, will operate via Ujjain–Fatehabad–Ratlam, avoiding Indore and Dewas. Additionally, train 14116, Prayagraj–Dr Ambedkar Nagar Express, will run via Ujjain–Dewas–Laxmibai Nagar–Indore. On June 11, train 11125, Ratlam–Gwalior Express, will be diverted via Ratlam–Fatehabad–Ujjain, bypassing Indore and Dewas.
Other important routes affected on June 11 include the Vande Bharat Express trains: 20911 (Indore–Nagpur) and 20912 (Nagpur–Indore), which will run via Indore–Laxmibai Nagar–Dewas–Ujjain or the reverse. Furthermore, trains such as 14115 Dr Ambedkar Nagar–Prayagraj, 14802 Indore–Jodhpur, 14801 Jodhpur–Indore, and 09343 Dr Ambedkar Nagar–Patna Special will skip their halt at Fatehabad.
Passengers are advised to confirm their train schedules with railway authorities before traveling during this period to avoid inconvenience.
