In a significant breakthrough, the Mangaluru police have arrested one more accused in connection with the Kotekar society robbery case. The accused was apprehended near Panvel Railway Station in Mumbai by a special investigation team (SIT) constituted specifically to trace the absconding suspects involved in the case.
Details of the Arrest
The SIT, after receiving intelligence inputs, tracked the movements of the accused and successfully nabbed him from the busy railway station. The identity of the accused has not been disclosed yet, but officials confirmed that he was wanted in connection with the robbery that took place at a residential society in Kotekar earlier this year.
Ongoing Investigation
Police sources revealed that the investigation is still underway to apprehend the remaining suspects. The SIT is coordinating with law enforcement agencies in other states to trace the absconders. The arrested individual is being brought to Mangaluru for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
