A police constable from Urva police station in Mangaluru was allegedly attacked while on night rounds near Narayan Guru Co-operative Society at Kodikal Urwa on Sunday. The incident occurred when the constable attempted to stop a two-wheeler for inspection.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, the two individuals on the vehicle initially drove away rashly to evade the checking. However, they later returned to the spot and allegedly assaulted the constable, leaving him with minor injuries. The constable sustained bruises but is reported to be in stable condition.
Legal Action Taken
A case has been registered under sections 121(1), 109, 132, and 3(5) of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). The police are investigating the matter and have launched a search for the suspects.

CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media, capturing the moment the suspects returned and attacked the constable. The footage is being used by the police to identify the assailants.
