A 29-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide at her residence in the Wathoda area of Nagpur following a video call with her husband. The incident occurred late Sunday night, with the woman being declared dead at a hospital early Monday morning.

The deceased, identified as Abhilasha, was a homemaker. According to police, her husband noticed an incoming call on her phone from a man named Sultan Khan during their video call. He questioned her about the call and also informed his brother about the matter, which escalated the situation.

Distressed by the questioning, Abhilasha reportedly hanged herself using a blanket in the bedroom. Family members rushed her to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead at 1:55 am on Monday.

The Wathoda police have registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for postmortem examination. No arrests have been made so far, and investigations are ongoing.

Neighbors described Abhilasha as a quiet homemaker who mostly stayed indoors. They said there was no known history of disputes in the family.
