Addressing a public event, he specifically targeted the issues of 'love jihad' and 'land jihad', describing them as part of a larger conspiracy to alter the country's religious demography.
Strong Warning Against Conspiracies
Speaking in a firm tone, CM Yogi stated, 'Those who do not have faith in India cannot treat this land as a dharamshala.' He emphasized that such activities are not just social issues but threats to national security and communal harmony. The Chief Minister called for strict action against those involved in such conspiracies.
Love Jihad as a Demographic Threat
Yogi Adityanath reiterated that 'love jihad' is a well-planned strategy to change the demographic structure of the country through deceptive means. He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. 'We will not allow anyone to destabilize our society under the guise of love,' he added.
Land Jihad and Legal Measures
The Chief Minister also warned against 'land jihad', referring to the alleged illegal occupation of land belonging to minority communities. He assured that the state government has enacted stringent laws to prevent such practices and that offenders will face severe consequences. 'Our government is committed to protecting the rights of every citizen,' he said.
CM Yogi's remarks come amid ongoing debates over religious conversions and demographic changes in Uttar Pradesh. The state has already implemented laws against forced conversions, and the Chief Minister hinted at further measures to curb such activities.
