A 28-year-old bandsman from the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, was discovered hanging in his quarters around 7 am on Sunday. The Uttamnagar police later in the evening registered an accidental death report in connection with the incident.
Police Investigation Underway
Senior Inspector Raghvendra Kshirsagar of the Uttamnagar police stated, "The deceased was a bandsman and was alone in his quarters at the time of the incident. He hailed from Mangalwedha in Solapur district. His wife had departed for their native place a few days prior."
The official further revealed that the deceased had been married approximately seven years ago. The couple did not have any children.
Suicide Suspected, Motive Unknown
Kshirsagar added, "After a thorough examination of the scene, we suspect it to be a case of suicide. However, the precise reason behind the suspected suicide remains unknown at this stage."
Authorities are conducting further inquiries to ascertain any possible factors that may have led to the tragic incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the family has been informed.
