NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar grabbed attention during a Mumbai T20 League match not only for his all-round performance but also for a heartwarming gesture towards a young fan. During the game, one of Arjun's big sixes flew into the stands and accidentally struck a child on the head, leaving the youngster visibly hurt.
Heartwarming Gesture After the Match
After the match, Arjun made it a point to check on the fan, who was still holding an ice pack to the back of his head. He signed the match ball, gifted it to the child, patted him on the head, and shared a smile, turning a painful moment into a memorable one. The gesture won widespread praise and reminded many of the values associated with his father, Sachin Tendulkar.
All-Round Performance on the Field
The memorable interaction came on a day when Arjun also starred on the field for Arcs Andheri in the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League 2026. The all-rounder played a key role in his team's dominant nine-wicket victory over Bandra Blasters at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Arjun first impressed with the ball, returning figures of 3/11 from three overs, including a maiden, as Bandra Blasters were restricted to 144/9. He then delivered with the bat, remaining unbeaten on 66 off just 34 balls during the chase.
Match-Winning Partnership
Chasing 145, Arcs Andheri lost an early wicket before Arjun and Musheer Khan took complete control. The pair added an unbeaten 116 runs for the second wicket, with Musheer contributing 54 not out off 38 deliveries. Their aggressive batting helped Arcs Andheri reach the target in just 13.5 overs, with 37 balls to spare.
