LUCKNOW: Green Gas Limited (GGL) has connected the Maa Sita Rasoi, the kitchen facility inside the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi mandir complex in Ayodhya, to the piped natural gas (PNG) network. With this move, the kitchen has been shifted away from LPG use, marking a significant step towards cleaner energy in the temple town.
Inauguration and Pipeline Details
The PNG connection was inaugurated by GGL managing director Girija Shankar and director (commercial) Rajkishor Behera. Around 2.5 km of medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) pipeline network has been laid from Parag Ayodhya to connect Sita Rasoi. Currently, a three-burner stove and two single-burner stoves would be utilized to prepare Prasad and food, with the potential for expansion in the future.
Support and Collaboration
The project received support from various associated organizations and local administrative bodies involved in facilitating the implementation. This initiative aligns with the broader push for sustainable energy solutions in religious and cultural sites across India.
