Bhopal: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday expressed profound grief over the death of a woman and injuries sustained by several persons in a tiger attack in Kherwa Tola village under Bandhavgarh National Park in Umariya district. The victim, Phoolbai, wife of Pahlu Pal, lost her life in the incident.
Financial Assistance Announced
Expressing his condolences, Yadav said that officials have been directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family of the deceased. He has also instructed authorities to ensure free medical treatment for the injured and provide the necessary compensation.

The attack occurred in Kherwa Tola village, which lies within the vicinity of the Bandhavgarh National Park. The area is known for its tiger population, and such incidents highlight the ongoing human-wildlife conflict in the region.
The Chief Minister's office confirmed that the state government is taking all necessary steps to support the affected family and ensure the injured receive proper care. Officials have been asked to visit the site and coordinate relief efforts.
