Two killed, two injured in Hazaribag truck crash

Hazaribag: Two persons were killed and two others sustained serious injuries after a speeding trailer truck lost control and rammed into three stationary vehicles near Prakash Hotel on the national highway in Hazaribag district on Sunday around 6 am, police said.

Details of the Accident

Officer in-charge of the Charhi police station, Ajeet Kumar, stated, “The trailer truck, carrying bricks from Bihar Sharif in Bihar to Ranchi, went out of control and crashed into vehicles parked along the roadside. Two persons travelling in the truck died after being crushed in the wreckage, while two others suffered serious injuries. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.”

One of the vehicles hit was a truck carrying plastic granules from Panipat to Visakhapatnam. The driver had reportedly stopped near Prakash Hotel for tea when the speeding trailer truck rammed into it, Kumar added.

Investigation Underway

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway, police said.
