A tragic road accident in Dubai on Monday claimed the lives of several Indian workers when a minibus collided with a truck, according to local reports.

The incident occurred when the truck stopped in the middle of the road, as reported by Gulf News. The minibus driver allegedly failed to maintain attention and a safe distance, hitting the truck from behind.
Casualties and Injuries
Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, confirmed that the accident resulted in seven fatalities and nine injuries. Among the injured, five are in serious condition and four have moderate injuries. All injured were transported to hospitals for treatment.

The Consulate General of India in Dubai expressed deep sadness over the incident. In a post on X, the Consulate stated that its officials visited the hospital, met the injured Indian nationals, and are coordinating with local authorities to ensure all possible assistance is provided.
