In a landmark move, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has appointed World Cup-winning Indian cricket captain Harmanpreet Kaur as its brand ambassador. This historic appointment marks the first time the public sector bank has onboarded a female personality for this role, signaling a strong push towards inclusivity and inspiration.
A Surreal Homecoming for the Cricket Star
Expressing her delight, Harmanpreet Kaur revealed a deep personal connection with the bank. She shared that her banking journey began with PNB at the age of 18, with her first account opened at the PNB branch in Moga, Punjab. "It feels truly surreal. To stand here today as the bank's brand ambassador is an honour," Kaur stated during the announcement ceremony. She was welcomed with a framed PNB jersey bearing her name and a custom-engraved PNB cricket bat.
The cricketer emphasized her enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, "I look forward to working together to inspire many more champions across India." Her association is expected to resonate with a vast audience, leveraging her image of leadership and success on the global stage.
