Bengaluru Business School Pivots to Founders and Family Business Programs
Bengaluru Business School Focuses on Founders and Family Firms

EIMR Business School in Bengaluru has introduced two new MBA programs specifically designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and successors of family-run businesses. This move marks a departure from traditional management education by focusing on real-world execution, mentorship, and venture creation.

New Programs Target Founders and Family Business Leaders

The MBA for Future Founders and MBA for Family Business Successors are built around entrepreneurship rather than conventional corporate placements. The institution aims to address a growing gap in Indian business education, where students increasingly want to build startups or modernize family enterprises rather than seek employment.

EIMR is backed by Educesta, an educational organization founded in 2011 that has produced over 4,000 MBA alumni and designed programs for leading Indian universities. According to the institution, this experience revealed that traditional management education often fails to provide exposure to real-world decision-making and business-building.

Early Success Stories and Ecosystem Support

Within its first three years, a student venture from EIMR's undergraduate program has already secured seed funding. Student founders Arvind and Diwakar launched 'Storyphy', an AI-storytelling platform, through the school's entrepreneurial ecosystem. They stated: "Storyphy began as an idea to make AI-storytelling more accessible and meaningful. EIMR gave us the exposure, mentorship, and confidence to take it beyond the classroom." Another student, Aryan, is building 'CTRL', a functional coffee brand targeting corporate workplaces.

The school has also introduced the Soonicorn Fund, a student venture-support initiative connected to a larger ₹21 crore+ venture ecosystem. This fund provides mentorship, incubation, networks, and funding opportunities for promising ideas.

Global Immersion and Founder Mentorship

EIMR's Global Immersion Program takes students to business ecosystems in France, Switzerland, and Germany, exposing them to innovation hubs, startups, and global brands. The program aims to broaden perspectives on how businesses are built and scaled internationally.

Another key initiative is Bold Moves, a weekly founder interaction platform. Speakers and mentors have included Austin Prakesh, Founding Angel and Director of Strategy at Zerodha; Siddharth R Dungarwal, Founder & CEO of Snitch; Vivek Aithal, Y-Combinator alumnus and Founder of MinusX; and Dr. Govindraj Laxminarayan Dempo, among others.

Vision for India's Entrepreneurial Decade

Founder Deepakk Kummar explained the rationale behind EIMR: "India is entering a defining decade. As initiatives like Startup India and the vision of Viksit Bharat encourage innovation and value creation, education must evolve alongside ambition. At EIMR, we believe entrepreneurship is not something that can be learned only through theory, it must be experienced. Our goal is to help students build the confidence, capability, and networks required to create meaningful businesses and contribute to India's growth story."

Kummar's journey began with Educesta, where years of working with students, universities, entrepreneurs, and business families shaped his vision for a business school centered on entrepreneurship and experiential learning.
