TCS, which had already set aside $150 million for the case, said it will book a further $70 million towards damages, interest and legal costs as a one-time exceptional charge in the first quarter of 2027.
The development comes after the US Supreme Court rejected an appeal by the Indian IT giant, dealing a significant financial blow. The company had previously provisioned for potential liabilities but now faces additional costs.
Analysts noted that the charge would impact TCS's quarterly earnings, though the company remains financially robust. The case relates to a long-running legal dispute in the United States.
TCS has not disclosed further details about the nature of the lawsuit. The company continues to focus on its core business operations and growth strategies.
