Umiya Mobile Limited has reported a remarkable 167% year-on-year growth in profit after tax (PAT) for the second half of the fiscal year 2026. The company attributed this stellar performance to robust operational efficiencies, strategic market expansion, and increased consumer demand for its mobile products.
Financial Highlights
The company's PAT for H2 FY26 stood at INR 45 crore, compared to INR 16.8 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations also witnessed a significant uptick, rising by 89% to INR 320 crore from INR 169 crore in H2 FY25. The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margin improved to 18.5%, up from 12.3% in the prior-year period.
Operational Excellence
Umiya Mobile's managing director, Mr. Rajesh Gupta, stated, "Our focus on innovation, cost optimization, and expanding our distribution network has yielded exceptional results. We have successfully penetrated new markets while strengthening our presence in existing ones." The company also benefited from favorable raw material costs and improved supply chain management.
Market Expansion
The company expanded its retail footprint by adding 1,200 new outlets across tier-2 and tier-3 cities during the period. Additionally, its online sales channel contributed 35% to total revenue, reflecting the growing shift toward e-commerce. Umiya Mobile also launched three new smartphone models, which received positive market response.
Future Outlook
Looking ahead, Umiya Mobile plans to invest INR 50 crore in research and development over the next fiscal year, focusing on 5G-enabled devices and AI integration. The company aims to achieve a 25% market share in the budget smartphone segment by FY27. Mr. Gupta added, "We are confident of sustaining this growth momentum through continuous innovation and customer-centric strategies."
The company's board has recommended a dividend of INR 2 per share for the fiscal year, subject to shareholder approval. Umiya Mobile's stock closed 4.5% higher on the Bombay Stock Exchange following the announcement.
