CII to Host Second Business Excellence Workshop for MSMEs in Mangaluru

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Centre of Excellence for Employment and Livelihood (CII CEL) is set to organize a two-day second Business Excellence Workshop specifically designed for micro and small enterprises. This significant event will commence on February 18 in Mangaluru, aiming to bolster grassroots entrepreneurship and stimulate local economic development.

Launch of Mangaluru Entrepreneurs Development Forum

In conjunction with the workshop, the Mangaluru Entrepreneurs Development Forum will be officially launched. This forum is expected to enhance local engagement and participation among entrepreneurs, providing a structured platform for networking and collaborative growth.

Building on Previous Success

This workshop builds upon the foundation laid by the first workshop held in Mangaluru in 2025. It is an integral part of the broader Micro Business Excellence initiative, which actively operates in seven states across India and supports over 2,000 micro enterprises in their developmental journeys.

Insights from Industry Leaders

Natraj Hegde, Chairman of CII Mangaluru and Managing Director of SN Cryogenics Pvt Ltd, highlighted the region's entrepreneurial landscape. He noted that Dakshina Kannada district boasts more than 18,500 registered MSMEs, with a staggering 99% being micro enterprises. These span diverse sectors including:

  • Food processing
  • Marine products
  • Petrochemical and allied units
  • Coir
  • Biotech and innovation
  • Manufacturing and engineering
  • Logistics and services

Hegde encouraged micro and small entrepreneurs to actively participate in the workshop, emphasizing its role as a vital platform for connection, learning, and growth.

The two-day workshop will cover a range of critical business topics essential for enterprise success. Participants can expect in-depth sessions on:
