Constro 2026 Pune Exhibition Concludes Successfully

The international construction exhibition Constro 2026 wrapped up its four-day run in Pune on Sunday. Industry professionals, engineers, architects, and students gathered to explore the future of India's construction sector.

The event placed a strong emphasis on safety, modern technology, sustainability, and innovation in building practices. More than 400 exhibitors participated, showcasing construction machinery, building materials, digital tools, and green technologies.

Organizers and Inauguration

Constro 2026 marked the 20th edition of the exhibition. The Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) organized it in association with the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

Credai national vice-president Ranjeet Naiknavare and Council of Architecture president Abhay Purohit inaugurated the event alongside senior PCERF office-bearers. Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari delivered a video message. He stressed the importance of quality construction, modern technology, and environmentally responsible practices.

Auditorium Programme and Awards

A major highlight was the four-day auditorium programme. It featured technical sessions, panel discussions, and award ceremonies. The PCERF BG Shirke Vidyarthi Awards 2025 recognized civil engineering students for academic excellence and innovation.

Safety remained a central theme throughout the exhibition. The Safety Summit and the PCERF Kumar Beharay Safety Awards drew significant attention. These initiatives highlighted critical issues like workplace safety and fire safety in high-rise buildings.
