Two Injured in Major Fire at Ahmedabad Sevai Factory
A fire broke out at a sevai-making factory near Kalupur bridge, opposite the Sherkotda police station in Ahmedabad, in the early hours of Friday, resulting in injuries to two persons. The fire control room received an emergency call at approximately 2.23am, prompting a swift response from fire brigade teams across the city.

According to fire officials, the flames spread rapidly due to large quantities of oil and other combustible materials stored within the factory. The incident occurred around 3am on March 3 at a namkeen factory near the Hanumanpura BRTS stand.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was triggered by a short circuit inside the unit. Vanjara, a resident of the Maheshwari Industrial Estate in Hanumanpura, sustained serious burn injuries and was admitted to Civil Hospital for treatment. The Madhavpura police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause and any potential safety lapses.
