Fire Engulfs Two Factories in Bhiwadi After Oil Tanker Explosion

A major fire broke out in two factories located in the UIT industrial area of Bhiwadi, Alwar district, on Thursday afternoon, allegedly triggered by a blast in an oil tanker positioned on the rooftop of one of the units. The incident occurred around 2:00 PM at Ramco Metal Factory, where the oil tanker reportedly exploded, causing flames to rapidly spread to the adjacent Alshok LLP unit.

Injuries and Evacuation

Two employees of Ramco Metal Factory sustained burn injuries and were immediately admitted to a private hospital for medical treatment. According to Ravi Rogha, an employee of Alshok LLP, the fire originated from the oil tanker on the roof of the neighboring factory before extending to their premises. At the time of the incident, approximately a dozen workers were present inside the factory. Officials confirmed that employees were evacuated through a rear exit, while some managed to escape by climbing over the boundary wall.

Emergency Response

Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot and launched firefighting operations to bring the blaze under control. Police personnel from Bhiwadi also reached the site and began collecting details about the incident. Officials stated that Ramco Metal Factory manufactures iron sheets, whereas Alshok LLP is engaged in the production of cosmetic goods.

Investigation Underway

The exact cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway. Authorities are probing the sequence of events leading to the explosion and the subsequent fire. No other casualties have been reported, and the fire was eventually contained after several hours of effort.
