The Karnataka Agriculture Department has invited applications from government and non-governmental organisations, as well as Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), to establish pulses processing and oilseed extraction units. Interested entities must submit a detailed project report (DPR) before June 30.
Eligibility and Application Process
Applications are open to government agencies, NGOs, and FPOs. Each applicant must provide a comprehensive DPR outlining the proposed unit's capacity, technology, financial viability, and expected benefits to local farmers. The department will evaluate proposals based on technical and financial criteria.
Objectives of the Initiative
The move aims to boost post-harvest infrastructure in Karnataka, reduce post-harvest losses, and enhance value addition for pulses and oilseeds. By encouraging local processing, the department seeks to improve farmer incomes and ensure better market access.
Interested parties can obtain application forms and guidelines from the department's official website or the office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture in Mysuru. The last date for submission is June 30, 2026.
