The Petroleum Dealers Association of South Chotanagpur convened an urgent meeting on Wednesday to address growing discontent over the policies of oil marketing companies. The association criticized the companies for unilateral decisions affecting sales, dealer commission, non-supply of stock, and supply not meeting demand.
Meeting Details
The meeting was chaired by the association's president, Rajhans Mishra, and was attended by 25 members from the districts of Ranchi, Simdega, Gumla, Khunti, and Lohardaga. During the session, Mishra stated, "Dealers are continuously being subjected to financial and mental harassment."
Next Steps
The committee unanimously decided to call an Annual General Meeting (AGM) of all oil company dealers on June 1 to determine the future course of action. This move signals a potential escalation in the dealers' protest against the policies of oil marketing companies.
