Rajasthan Budget 2026-27 Unveils Major Industrial Push with Rs 350 Crore for MSMEs
Rajasthan Budget 2026-27: Industrial Package, Rs 350 Cr for MSMEs

Rajasthan's 2026-27 Budget Unveils Ambitious Industrial Development Package

The state government of Rajasthan has introduced a significant industrial development package in the Budget for 2026-27, focusing on accelerating economic growth, attracting investments, and reinforcing the state's status as a key manufacturing and services hub. This initiative is designed to drive progress without relying on external incentives, marking a strategic move to enhance Rajasthan's industrial landscape.

Key Financial Allocations and Infrastructure Support

In a major boost for small and micro enterprises, the budget has allocated Rs 350 crore for plug-and-play facilities at the divisional level. This funding aims to provide ready-to-use infrastructure, enabling these businesses to operate more efficiently and reduce startup costs. The move is expected to streamline operations and foster a more conducive environment for entrepreneurship across the state.

Streamlining Clearances and Enhancing Efficiency

Despite ongoing challenges with clearances and approvals, the government is addressing these issues through a 'Single Window – One Stop Shop' facility. This system will offer 149 online permissions, simplifying the clearance process for entrepreneurs and reducing bureaucratic hurdles. Additionally, a competitive index will be implemented to benchmark departmental performance, promoting accountability and efficiency in government services.

Employment Generation and Global Investment Initiatives

To spur job creation and attract global capital, the government has already launched a Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy, alongside the Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy. These policies are designed to enhance the trading sector and position Rajasthan as an attractive destination for international businesses, contributing to economic diversification and growth.

Sector-Specific Clusters and Industrial Expansion

The finance minister announced the development of sector-specific clusters across Rajasthan, including:

  • A toy park in Kota to boost local manufacturing.
  • Stone parks in Nimbahera and Bundi to leverage natural resources.
  • A ceramic park in Soniyana to support the ceramics industry.
  • A pharma park under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor to enhance pharmaceutical production.
  • A block printing zone in Sanganer to preserve and promote traditional crafts.

Furthermore, 18 new industrial areas will be established to expand opportunities in manufacturing and allied industries, creating a more robust industrial ecosystem.

Relief Measures for MSMEs

In a significant relief for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the stamp duty on loan documents has been reduced to 0.125%, with a cap of Rs 10 lakh. This reduction is aimed at easing access to credit and lowering compliance costs, making it more affordable for small businesses to secure financing. Under the revised framework, MSMEs will receive benefits not only based on the new definition but also for expansion, ensuring broader coverage and support for growth, as highlighted by the finance minister during the budget speech.
