Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIL) has officially entered the country's competitive electric two-wheeler segment with the launch of its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access. The vehicle carries an ex-showroom price tag of ₹1,88,490, marking a significant move by the Japanese legacy automaker into a space dominated by startups and other established players.
Suzuki e-Access: Price, Booking, and Launch Offers
Potential buyers can now book the Suzuki e-Access through the company's authorised dealerships across India or via the online platform Flipkart. To sweeten the deal, Suzuki is rolling out a host of attractive introductory offers designed to boost the scooter's value proposition.
The company is providing an extended warranty of up to 7 years or 80,000 km at no extra cost. A complimentary buy-back assurance promises up to 60% of the original value after three years. Existing Suzuki customers are eligible for a loyalty bonus of up to ₹10,000, while new customers can avail a welcome bonus of up to ₹7,000. Flexible finance schemes start at an interest rate of 5.99%, and rental options from 24 hours to 3 years are also available.
Performance, Battery, and Key Specifications
At the heart of the e-Access is a 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, known for its safety and longevity. This powertrain delivers a peak power of 5.49 bhp and 15 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 71 kmph. On a full charge, the scooter promises a range of up to 95 kilometers.
Charging times are competitive: a regular charge takes approximately 6 hours and 42 minutes, while a fast charger can replenish the battery in about 2 hours and 12 minutes. The scooter features multiple ride modes—Eco, Ride A, and Ride B—along with a reverse mode and regenerative braking. Suzuki claims consistent performance even when the battery charge is as low as 10%.
Design, Features, and Market Entry
The Suzuki e-Access sports a modern design and is available in four dual-tone colour options: Metallic Mat Black with Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, Pearl Jade Green with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, and the newly introduced Metallic Mat Stellar Blue with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray.
It is built on a lightweight chassis with an aluminium battery case integrated into the frame for enhanced rigidity and stable handling. Features include full LED lighting, dual-tone alloy wheels, and a maintenance-free drive belt with a claimed lifespan of 7 years or 70,000 km.
The scooter was first showcased in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, generating considerable buzz. Its launch comes at a time when demand for electric scooters is steadily rising in urban centers. With the e-Access, Suzuki aims to capture a significant share of the growing Indian electric two-wheeler market, leveraging its brand trust and extensive dealership network to compete effectively.
