Tata Motors' commercial vehicles division has introduced the new Intra V40 pickup truck, expanding its small commercial vehicle lineup. The latest model features a CNG-petrol bi-fuel powertrain, targeting customers who require higher payload capacity, improved operating efficiency, and reduced running costs.
Payload and Powertrain
The Intra V40 offers a payload capacity of 1,525 kilograms and a load body length of 2,960 millimeters (9.7 feet), making it suitable for diverse cargo transportation needs. Power comes from a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine producing 58 bhp and 106 Nm of torque. The pickup is equipped with a 110-liter CNG tank, enabling a bi-fuel range of 800 kilometers. Drivers can seamlessly switch between CNG and petrol, ensuring operational flexibility across different routes and business requirements.
Features and Technology
Key features include electric power steering, front disc brakes, and halogen headlamps. The VX trim adds air conditioning and a music system. The vehicle also incorporates Fleet Edge telematics, providing vehicle monitoring, predictive maintenance alerts, and operational insights to enhance uptime and fleet productivity.
Support and Durability
The Intra V40 is backed by Tata Motors' Sampoorna Seva 2.0 support program, offering lifecycle assistance. Built on the company's commercial vehicle platform, it features a walk-through cabin for driver convenience. A hydroformed chassis enhances structural strength, stability, and durability.
Market Position
With the Intra V40, Tata Motors now offers one of the widest bi-fuel commercial vehicle lineups in India, including the Ace Pro Bi-Fuel, Ace CNG 2.0, and Intra V20 Gold, covering multiple payload categories.
