Credai Shifts NATCON 2026 from Amsterdam to India on PM Modi's Call
Credai Moves NATCON 2026 to India After PM's Appeal

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (Credai) has decided to relocate its flagship national convention, NATCON 2026, from Amsterdam in the Netherlands to India. This decision follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to reduce non-essential foreign travel and conserve foreign exchange amid the evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

Credai Kerala Pitches Thiruvananthapuram as Host

Speaking about the development, S N Raghuchandran Nair stated that Credai Kerala is now actively advocating for the prestigious national convention to be held in Thiruvananthapuram. According to him, the decision to cancel the Amsterdam event aligns with the Prime Minister's call to prioritize domestic spending and support the Indian economy.

Expected Impact of NATCON 2026

The convention, scheduled for August this year, is expected to attract over 1,000 leading developers, investors, architects, consultants, policymakers, and other stakeholders from across the country. Nair emphasized that hosting the event in the state capital would significantly boost Kerala's hospitality, tourism, and real estate sectors.

Background of the Decision

Credai had originally planned to organize NATCON in Amsterdam, with preparations underway for several months. However, the organization later announced that the event would instead be held in India as a gesture of support for the Centre's call for economic prudence and 'nation first' policies. Credai President Shekhar Patel stated that the real estate sector, being one of the country's largest employment generators, must align with national priorities during challenging global conditions.

Host City Announcement Imminent

The host city for NATCON 2026 is expected to be announced shortly, with Thiruvananthapuram emerging as the most likely venue. This move underscores the industry's commitment to national interests and economic resilience.
