Lucknow Builder Fahad Yazdani Booked for Fraud in Crore-Rupee Flat Scam
Lucknow Builder Booked for Fraud in LDA Demolition Case

Police in Lucknow have taken legal action against a prominent builder and his team following allegations of a major financial scam involving apartment sales. The Hussainganj police station has officially registered a fraud case targeting four individuals, including Fahad Yazdani, the owner of Yazdan Infrastructure.

The Core Allegations: Fake Promises and Forged Documents

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the accused allegedly swindled two individuals out of lakhs of rupees. The victims were promised flats in a residential project that was later deemed illegal. The complainant, Ramkaran Singh Bachchan from Banda's Tindwari Benda, stated that in 2017, he and his friend Rajbhavan Upadhyay were searching for an apartment to purchase.

During their search, they connected with Fahad Yazdani, a Hussainganj resident and the face of Yazdan Infrastructure. Yazdani promoted the 'Alaya Apartments' project on Purana Qila Road. He assured the potential buyers that the construction was being handled by associates named Sharafat Ali, Abdul Qadir Khan, and Farhat Hasan.

The key selling point was the alleged approval from the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). The accused presented what appeared to be an LDA-approved map and claimed all necessary No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) were secured. Convinced by these documents, Ramkaran invested in Flat No. 602, while Rajbhavan Upadhyay booked Flat No. 302.

The Unraveling: Demolition Orders and Hollow Assurances

The fraudulent scheme collapsed a few years later when the Lucknow Development Authority issued a demolition order for the apartment building. It became clear that the project lacked proper legal sanctions. Ramkaran Singh Bachchan, in his complaint, asserted that the accused had extracted crores of rupees from numerous homebuyers using similar deceptive tactics.

When the aggrieved buyers demanded their money back, Fahad Yazdani and his associates merely provided empty promises without any intention of refunding the substantial sums. This case is not an isolated incident, as several other complaints have already been filed against the accused at various police stations across Lucknow.

Police Action and Official Statements

The case was formally registered on the direct orders of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Jitendra Dubey. After a preliminary investigation substantiated the allegations, the police moved ahead with legal proceedings.

Shivmangal Singh, the in-charge of Hussainganj Police Station, confirmed the development. He stated that a thorough investigation found the allegations to be true, leading to the registration of a fraud case against the builder and his associates. The police are now delving deeper into the operations of Yazdan Infrastructure and the full extent of the financial deception.
