The ambitious project, valued at a staggering Rs 440 crore, promises to revolutionize administrative operations in the city.

The new integrated office will be constructed on a sprawling 6-acre plot along Wazir Hasan Road, strategically located in one of Lucknow's most prominent areas. The comprehensive plan includes a six-storey main building that will house an impressive 63 different departments under one roof, eliminating the need for citizens to travel to multiple locations for various government services.
Complementing the main structure will be a dedicated four-storey court complex and modern multilevel parking facilities to address the chronic parking issues in the busy Hazratganj area. The project aims to create a seamless experience for both government employees and the public.
Green Building Initiative and Funding Strategy
During a recent review meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant at the LDA office, specific emphasis was placed on sustainable development. Pant directed officials to design the building as a low-maintenance green facility, incorporating environmentally friendly features that would reduce long-term operational costs and minimize environmental impact.
The innovative funding strategy for this massive project involves monetization of land vacated by shifting departments from their current locations. This approach demonstrates a creative financial model that could set a precedent for future government infrastructure projects across Uttar Pradesh.
The Lucknow Development Authority has entrusted the preparation of the Detailed Project Report to the same architectural firm that successfully designed the integrated office complexes in Varanasi and Gorakhpur, ensuring proven expertise and design consistency across the state's major urban centers.
Broader Development Agenda and Accountability Measures
Commissioner Pant's review meeting extended beyond the Hazratganj project to assess progress on several other significant LDA initiatives. The official expressed strong dissatisfaction with delays in land acquisition for major housing schemes including Varun Vihar, Naimish Nagar, IT City, and Wellness City.
In a clear message to officials, Pant demanded immediate reports from both LDA and tehsil authorities regarding the bottlenecks causing these delays. He issued a stern warning that disciplinary action would be taken against officials found negligent in their duties, emphasizing the government's commitment to timely project completion.
The review also covered other crucial projects such as Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, Green Corridor, and the Integrated Township. Pant instructed zonal officers to maintain proper documentation of illegal constructions during sealing operations and to immediately demolish any new construction activity that occurs after properties have been officially sealed.
