Rocketlane Raises $60 Million in Series C Funding to Boost AI Agent Development
Chennai-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup Rocketlane has successfully raised $60 million in a Series C funding round. This significant investment is aimed at accelerating the development of AI agents, expanding into new international markets, and scaling the company's overall business operations. The funding round was led by New York-based Insight Partners, a prominent venture capital firm.
Strategic Focus on AI and Professional Services Automation
Rocketlane specializes in professional services automation, providing tools for firms that sell and implement AI products for enterprises, including technology services companies. According to the company, the increasing adoption of AI among key customer segments is driving substantial demand for its platform. Srikrishnan Ganesan, chief executive and co-founder of Rocketlane, which is headquartered in both Chennai and the United States, highlighted the challenges in enterprise AI implementation.
"Implementing AI and driving adoption and outcomes in the enterprise has turned out to be harder, leading to a shift from product-led to services-led growth. Services teams and existing offerings require tools for compliance, revenue recognition, and scaling operations," Ganesan explained.
Launch of AI Agent and Growth Metrics
Recently, Rocketlane launched an AI agent designed to operate directly within delivery workflows. This agent executes repeatable billable tasks such as migrations, configurations, documentation, and testing, which were previously performed manually. The company is betting on this innovation as a key driver for its next phase of growth.
The increasing volume and reliance on services teams to operationalize AI and technology investments have fueled the growth of our platform, Ganesan added. Rocketlane reported that its revenue more than doubled over the past year, and deal sizes have increased by 4.5 times since 2023, indicating strong market traction and customer engagement.
Expansion and Funding History
In the previous year, Rocketlane expanded its global footprint by opening new operational hubs in London, New York, and San Francisco. This strategic move supports its goal of entering new markets and enhancing its service delivery capabilities. The current Series C round brings Rocketlane's total funding to $105 million, following a $24 million Series B round in 2024.
Apoorva Goyal, principal at Insight Partners, commented on the investment, stating, "Professional services teams are crucial engines of enterprise software. Rocketlane's AI-first platform enables professional services teams to scale their impact without scaling headcount." This endorsement underscores the platform's value in optimizing efficiency and productivity for enterprise clients.
Future Outlook and Industry Impact
With the new funding, Rocketlane is poised to further innovate in the AI space, leveraging its platform to address the growing needs of professional services teams. The company's focus on automation and scalability aligns with broader trends in the technology sector, where AI integration is becoming increasingly essential for business success. As Rocketlane continues to expand, it aims to solidify its position as a leader in professional services automation, driving digital transformation for enterprises worldwide.
