Zoho CEO Kumar Vembu to Lead TiECon Mysuru 2026 with Focus on Frugal Innovations
Mysuru is set to host a landmark event in the entrepreneurial calendar as TiECon Mysuru 2026 unfolds from April 17 to 19 at the JCAC. This three-day gathering, organized by the TiE Mysuru association, will bring together over 100 distinguished speakers and feature more than 35 plenary sessions, aiming to redefine growth through collaboration between traditional industries and new-age ventures.
Keynote Addresses and Global Perspectives
A highlight of the conference will be the keynote speech by Kumar Vembu, CEO of Zoho, on the topic 'Catapulting Small Cities onto Global Maps - Frugal Innovations.' Additionally, author Vikram Sampath will share 'Lessons of Entrepreneurship from the Pages of History,' offering historical insights into modern business challenges. The event will benefit from international perspectives, with charter members from over 10 TiE chapters worldwide participating to enrich discussions and networking opportunities.
Startup Showcase and Investor Participation
In a significant boost for the startup ecosystem, TiECon Mysuru 2026 will include a dedicated startup showcase, featuring more than 50 early and growth-stage ventures. These will be presented through curated pitch fests and an expo, providing a platform for innovation and investment. Over 20 leading investors and venture capital firms, such as Nuvama, Chiratae Ventures, Motilal Oswal, Ideaspring Capital, PeerCapital, and BugleRock, are confirmed to attend, facilitating potential funding and partnerships.
Industry Focus and Thematic Discussions
The conference will delve into a wide range of themes through keynote addresses and panel discussions. Topics include creativity and neuroscience for new-age entrepreneurship, AI and the artist's soul, smart farming and futuristic food systems, and policies driving Mysuru's growth. A special industry pavilion will showcase over 15 Mysuru-based companies, highlighting their capabilities in aerospace, precision engineering, digital platforms, and advanced manufacturing on a global scale.

Speaking to reporters, organizers including Pavan Ranga, MD of Rangsons; Bhaskar Kalale, president of TiE Mysuru and chairman of EqualizeRCM; and Ram Kevalur, chairman of TiECon Mysuru 2026 and co-founder of eCirkle.org, emphasized the event's goal to lay the foundation for Mysuru's next phase of entrepreneurial growth.
