Indore's Four Major Flyover Projects Get New June 2026 Deadline After Review
Indore Flyover Deadline Extended to June 2026 After Inspection

Indore's ambitious flyover projects have received a revised timeline. The completion deadline for all four major flyovers has been officially shifted from March to June 2026.

Collector-Led Inspection Drives Timeline Revision

This important decision followed a comprehensive site inspection conducted by Collector Shivam Verma. The inspection aimed specifically at accelerating construction work and resolving persistent logistical bottlenecks that were slowing progress.

Details of the Four Key Projects

The Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) manages these significant infrastructure developments. Together, they represent a substantial combined investment exceeding Rs 267 crore.

Each flyover targets one of Indore's busiest intersections to create a signal-free experience for commuters:

  • Dewas Naka square - Project cost: Rs 74.48 crore
  • Musakhedi square - Project cost: Rs 67.02 crore
  • IT Park square - Project cost: Rs 63.33 crore
  • Satyasai square - Project cost: Rs 62.45 crore

Official Commitment to Timely Completion

Collector Shivam Verma made a clear statement about the new deadline. "Our goal is to complete all four flyovers by June without compromising on quality," he affirmed.

He further assured that authorities will conduct regular reviews in the coming weeks. These reviews will monitor progress closely to ensure Indore's arterial roads finally achieve the promised seamless, signal-free flow.

On-Ground Challenges and Immediate Actions

During the detailed inspection, Collector Verma examined each site thoroughly. Municipal Commissioner Kshitij Singhal accompanied him, along with officials from MPRDC and the traffic police department.

The review focused particularly on minor removals - small encroachments and structures that were hindering construction progress at various locations.

Addressing Commuter Concerns Directly

Acknowledging the daily struggles faced by Indore's commuters, the collector issued specific instructions for immediate relief measures.

  1. Deployment of dedicated traffic guards to ensure smooth vehicle flow around construction zones
  2. Installation of safety nets to control dust pollution from construction sites
  3. Immediate patch repairs and tarring of service lanes at Musakhedi square

These measures aim to minimize disruption for residents while construction continues toward the new June 2026 deadline.
