Q3 Earnings Season Kicks Off: Infosys, HDFC AMC, IOB Among 20+ Firms Declaring Results
Q3 Results Today: Infosys, HDFC AMC, IOB Lead Earnings Rush

The earnings season for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 is now in full swing. More than twenty companies will declare their financial results for the December quarter today, Wednesday, January 14. This marks a significant day for investors and market watchers across India.

Major Companies in Focus

Several marquee names are set to release their numbers. Infosys, HDFC Asset Management Company, Indian Overseas Bank, Groww, and Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Limited are among the key players announcing results. All eyes are on these reports to gauge the health of corporate India.

Analysts Watch Growth and Risks

Analysts and investors are closely monitoring this quarter. They are looking for signs of robust growth, potentially driven by the GST cuts announced on September 22, 2025. At the same time, they are evaluating the impact of ongoing geopolitical uncertainties on companies with significant international exposure.

Infosys Q3 Results Preview

Brokerage firm Kotak Institutional Equities has shared its forecast for Infosys. The firm predicts a slight revenue decline of 0.25% compared to the previous quarter. This is primarily due to fewer billing days and a lack of mega deal wins in recent periods.

However, Kotak expects a gradual improvement in EBIT quarter-on-quarter. This improvement is likely driven by benefits from the company's Project Maximus initiative. The brokerage notes it does not assume any extra revenues from third-party item sales.

Kotak anticipates large deal total contract value to reach between $4.5 and $5 billion. This would be roughly double the year-ago figure, led by a major deal win from NHSBSA worth GBP 1.2 billion. The firm believes Infosys might revise its full-year revenue growth guidance to 2.5-3.0%, up from 2-3% previously. This guidance would imply flat to slightly negative revenues for the fourth quarter. The forecast does not include the pending Versent Group acquisition.

HDFC AMC Q3 Results Preview

For HDFC Asset Management Company, analysts expect a positive quarter. They are factoring in about a 5% quarter-on-quarter rise in overall quarterly average assets under management for the domestic mutual fund business. This growth is supported by healthy inflows and favorable mark-to-market gains.

Kotak Equities stated that yields may decline slightly due to AUM growth. The firm expects a 10% year-on-year growth in core profit before tax. This would be driven by a 13% rise in revenue and a 25% increase in expenses. Other income is seen rising quarter-on-quarter due to mark-to-market gains. The focus will remain on the stability of retail flows and yields.

Indian Overseas Bank Q3 Results Preview

Indian Overseas Bank is another significant name reporting today. Financial analysts anticipate an increase in revenue, driven by higher sales. They also expect a significant rise in profit after tax.

According to Univest, the bank's revenue is expected to be around ₹4,979 crore. This represents a 32% decrease compared to the same period last year. However, profit after tax is projected to surge by 190% year-on-year. EBITDA is expected to fall to ₹1,157 crore. Net profit is forecast at ₹2,650 crore, marking a 35% increase from the previous year.
