Amrit Bharat Express Commences Regular Service on Varanasi-Sealdah Route

The much-anticipated Banaras-Sealdah-Banaras Amrit Bharat Express has officially launched its regular operations, marking a significant enhancement in rail connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The inaugural run departed from Banaras railway station on Friday, heralding a new era of modern and efficient train travel for passengers on this crucial corridor.

Weekly Schedule and Timings

According to officials from the Varanasi division of the North Eastern Railway, the Amrit Bharat Express will operate on a fixed weekly schedule to ensure reliable service. The train will depart from Varanasi every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday at 10:10 PM. It will traverse key junctions including Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Patna Junction, Jasidih, Madhupur, Asansol, and Durgapur, arriving at Sealdah the next day at 9:55 AM.

On the return journey, the train will leave Sealdah every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 7:30 PM, reaching Banaras the following morning at 6:15 AM. This schedule is designed to cater to both daytime and overnight travel preferences, offering flexibility for commuters and tourists alike.

The Amrit Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-the-art safety systems that set a new benchmark in Indian Railways. Key features include:
