The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has initiated plans to develop a 374-hectare Integrated Logistics Park in Navi Mumbai. The corporation has invited expressions of interest (EOI) for the first phase, which covers 72 hectares. This project will be located near Chirle village in the Pushpak node, strategically positioned to leverage proximity to key infrastructure such as the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, and major connectivity links including the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link and the Dedicated Freight Corridor.
Master Plan and Infrastructure
CIDCO has prepared a master plan that divides the area into seven logistics zones. These zones will be supported by a network of 45-metre and 30-metre-wide roads to ensure seamless internal movement. As part of the pilot phase, bids have been invited for 12 plots in land parcel L1. CIDCO will develop trunk infrastructure, including roads, water supply, sewerage, and stormwater drainage, before allotment.
Selection Process and MoU
Selected bidders will enter into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CIDCO for land acquisition and payment terms. The Integrated Logistics Park will accommodate warehousing, container freight stations, inland container depots, logistics parks, and light industrial units, in line with the Maharashtra Logistics Policy.
Economic Impact
CIDCO Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Vijay Singhal stated that the project aims to create a future-ready logistics ecosystem to boost efficiency, attract investments, and support economic growth. Officials noted that the Integrated Logistics Park, along with upcoming social infrastructure such as Educity, Medicity, and Sportscity, is expected to strengthen Navi Mumbai's position as a logistics and economic hub.
