Coal Wagon Fire at Bokaro Railway Station, No Injuries

A major fire erupted in a wagon of a freight train carrying coal at the Bokaro Thermal Railway Station on Thursday evening, causing alarm but resulting in no injuries due to a swift emergency response.

Panic and Evacuation as Flames Engulf Wagon

The incident occurred in the Bermo subdivision, where thick, dark smoke and intense flames were seen billowing from one of the train's wagons. The sight triggered panic among railway personnel and local residents in the vicinity, who immediately moved to safer locations as a precautionary measure.

Shailesh Kumar, the superintendent of Bermo railway station, stated that the station staff acted promptly to secure the premises. Understanding the gravity of the situation, they immediately alerted the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) fire services for assistance.
