The Karnataka Pre-University Education Board announced the results for the second year pre-university (II PU) examinations on Friday. The overall pass percentage stands at 45.65%, marking a slight improvement from the previous year's 44.85%. A total of 6,97,155 students appeared for the exams, and 3,18,419 cleared them successfully.
Gender Performance
Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 50.73%, compared to 40.94% for boys. The performance gap has widened from last year when girls had a 5.41 percentage point advantage over boys. This year, the gap increased to 9.79 percentage points.
District-Wise Results
Dakshina Kannada district recorded the highest pass percentage at 74.26%, followed by Udupi with 73.92% and Bengaluru South with 67.16%. On the other hand, Yadgir district reported the lowest pass rate at 19.09%, with Kalaburagi and Raichur also showing poor performance.
Stream-Wise Performance
Among the streams, Science had the highest pass percentage at 54.96%, followed by Commerce at 50.32% and Arts at 33.69%. The vocational stream recorded a pass percentage of 34.56%.
Result Access
Students can check their results on the official websites: karresults.nic.in, pue.karnataka.gov.in, and ksresults.nic.in. They need to enter their registration number and date of birth to view their scorecards. The board has also released a mobile app for easier access.
The supplementary exams for those who failed will be held in July. The board has advised students to contact their respective colleges for any queries regarding revaluation or photocopy of answer scripts.
