The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has initiated the online scrutiny application process for students who appeared in the Intermediate and Secondary Special and Compartmental Examinations of 2026. Candidates who are dissatisfied with their marks can apply for a re-evaluation of their answer sheets from May 25, 2026, to May 29, 2026, through the board's designated portals.

Scrutiny Applications Open for Intermediate Candidates

BSEB announced that the results of the Intermediate Special Examination, 2026 and Intermediate Compartmental Examination, 2026 were declared on May 23, 2026. Students seeking scrutiny can apply online by paying a fee of Rs 120 per subject. Candidates must register using their roll code, roll number, and date of birth on the scrutiny portal and create a password for future logins. After logging in, students can select the subjects for scrutiny and complete the payment via debit card, credit card, or net banking.

The board stated that scrutiny will cover errors in totaling, unevaluated answers, or cases where marks from inner pages were not transferred to the cover page. It is important to note that marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged after scrutiny.

The scrutiny application process for Matric candidates is also open from May 25, 2026, to May 29, 2026, with a fee of Rs 120 per subject. Students applying for scrutiny must verify that the payment amount has been credited to the committee's account within 24 hours. Applications will be treated as incomplete if payment confirmation is not received.

BSEB Issues Directions on Certificate Corrections

In a separate notification, BSEB directed recognised secondary and Plus Two institutions to assist students seeking corrections in mark sheets and original certificates issued for the 2025 examinations. Students have been instructed to submit applications with self-attested documents and affidavits through First Class Magistrates to their institutions. After verification of records, school heads will forward the applications with recommendations to divisional regional offices. The board stated that corrected and revised documents will be issued after completion of the verification and amendment process.

This initiative aims to ensure accuracy in academic records and provide students with a fair opportunity to address any discrepancies in their examination results.
