CBSE Board Exams 2024: Advisory for Over 4.6 Million Students on Timely Arrival
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a crucial advisory for students appearing in the Class 10 and 12 board examinations, which are set to commence on February 17. The board strongly urges all candidates to reach their respective examination centres by 10am to prevent any inconvenience arising from traffic disruptions or other unforeseen circumstances.
Examination Schedule and Entry Rules
According to CBSE, the examinations will begin at 10.30am. However, entry to examination centres will be strictly closed at 10am. Students arriving after this designated time will not be permitted to enter the premises under any circumstances, emphasizing the importance of punctuality for a smooth examination process.
Scale of the Examinations and Potential Challenges
This year, more than 4.6 million students from across India and 26 other countries are scheduled to appear for the CBSE board examinations, making it one of the largest examination exercises globally. Given the immense scale of the exams and the possibility of traffic congestion due to national and international summits, high-level meetings, and other events in various cities, the board has highlighted the need for advance planning and preparedness.
Travel Planning Recommendations
CBSE has advised students to carefully consider local traffic conditions, weather situations, travel distance, and potential route diversions while planning their journey to the exam centre. Students are encouraged to leave their homes early to ensure timely arrival. Additionally, schools have been directed to guide and assist students and parents in planning their travel arrangements effectively.
The board also recommends that students visit their examination centres in advance to familiarize themselves with the location and avoid last-minute confusion. This proactive step can help reduce stress and ensure a smoother experience on the day of the exam.
Emphasis on Punctuality and Smooth Process
CBSE has reiterated that punctuality is crucial for the successful conduct of the examinations. The board urges all candidates to strictly adhere to the reporting time to ensure a seamless and efficient examination process. By following these guidelines, students can focus on their performance without unnecessary distractions or delays.
