CBSE Introduces Fully Digital Re-evaluation System
This year, CBSE has launched its first fully digital re-evaluation system for Class 12 board exams, implemented on a large scale covering nearly 17 lakh students and around 98 lakh answer sheets. According to official information, the process includes nearly 40 crore scanned pages. The digital system has been developed with technical and operational support from IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and four PSU banks. This initiative aims to make the post-result process more transparent, accessible, and accountable for students.
So far, nearly 4 lakh students have accessed around 11 lakh scanned answer sheets to verify their marks or identify possible discrepancies. The government has acknowledged that some issues and discrepancies were reported during the process but assured students that all concerns will be addressed with full accountability.

- No limit on number of questions: There is no restriction on the number of questions for which students can seek re-evaluation. Candidates can apply for multiple questions across multiple subjects after payment of the required fees.
- Re-evaluation limited to selected questions: Re-evaluation will be conducted only for the specific questions selected by the student. No fresh totalling or review of other answers will be carried out.
- Marks may increase or decrease: The marks awarded during re-evaluation may either increase or decrease. The final decision taken by CBSE after the review process will be considered binding.
